It's the last First Friday and we are taking it back to the street!

Our September First Friday concert is happening Friday, September 4th and Guardians of the Jukebox will be here to end summer with a bang!

The Main Stage will be located on the 200 Block of Downtown Rome and the show will start at 7pm.

A huge thank you to Giggity's sports bar and grill for sponsoring this event.

Get ready for a night to remember! As we continue to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and as part of the 2026 Georgia Downtown Conference, Downtown Rome is bringing the celebration to the sky with a spectacular DRONE LIGHT SHOW at the Town Green!

Hundreds of synchronized drones will take flight after dark, creating incredible images and animations overhead right in the heart of Downtown Rome.

🎶 Live DJ music will set the stage for the evening, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs, find your spot on the Town Green and enjoy the festive atmosphere before the drones take to the sky!

🏛️ WELCOME TO ROME | 2026 GEORGIA DOWNTOWN CONFERENCE

Next week, downtown professionals and community leaders from across the state will be heading to Rome!

We are proud to welcome the 2026 Georgia Downtown Conference, taking place August 17–20 in Downtown Rome.

Hosted by the Georgia Downtown Association, the four-day conference will bring together leaders who are passionate about building stronger, more vibrant downtowns throughout Georgia.

Attendees will spend the week learning, connecting and exploring through educational sessions, mobile workshops, Main Street training and the annual Downtown Awards Ceremony.

We’re especially excited for them to experience what makes our downtown so special — our businesses, our history, our rivers and trails, and most importantly, the people who make Rome feel like home.
