Last week, I was proud to join Santa Clara County Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga for our Youth Mental Health Town Hall in Palo Alto.

Youth mental health continues to be a serious issue in our community and across the state, and we need to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.

Thank you to all of the students, parents, educators, mental health professionals, and community members who took the time to share their experiences, ask thoughtful questions, and engage in an important conversation about how we can better support the mental health and the well-being of our young people.

On Gun Violence Awareness Day, we recommit ourselves to ending gun violence in our communities.

California continues to lead the way with commonsense gun safety laws that save thousands of lives every year. If California is going to meet its ambitious climate goals, we need to make the transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy more affordable.

That’s what my bill, AB 2313, does by providing homeowners with support to electrify their homes. This will lower bills for ratepayers while protecting the environment, a win-win.
