📚✨ Story Elements in Action in Mrs. Avila’s Class! ✨📚

On Monday, our 3rd graders in Mrs. Avila’s class worked collaboratively to dive deeper into a story! 🧠📖

Students worked together to identify:
👥 Characters – Who is in the story?
📍 Setting – Where and when does it take place?
⚡ Problem – What challenge does the character face?
🔄 Events – What happens throughout the story?
💡 Lesson/Moral – What can we learn from the story?

We loved seeing our Colts share their thinking, listen to their classmates, and use evidence from the text to support their ideas! 📚💚

When we learn together, we grow together! 🌟

TODAY at 6:00 p.m., The Big Give official 24-hour event begins! ⏳💙

Early Giving is still open. The official window starts Wednesday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. and ends Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 6PM. If you donate during this time frame, we will be matched dollar per dollar!

Help Walzem reach our goal of $1000! We are almost there!

Again, the FAM4 House Store is one of the most anticipated parts of our school’s house system! Students work hard to earn points for good choices, teamwork, and achievement, which they redeem for fun rewards at the store.
