🎨 The Bexar County Clerk’s Office, in partnership with the Coppini Academy of Fine Art, proudly unveiled “The Legacy of Coppini & Tauch,” an exhibit honoring the artistry and lasting impact of renowned sculptors Pompeo Coppini and Waldine Tauch, whose historic works include the Alamo Cenotaph and the Moses Austin statue.
🎤 Remarks were delivered by Bexar County Clerk, Hon. Lucy Adame-Clark, Chief Deputy of Operations Racquel Montalvo, Archives Librarian Andrea DeLeon, and guest speaker Tom Ellis, followed by the exhibit unveiling and reception.
🙏 A special thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this exhibit possible. From an idea to reality, this exhibit reflects the dedication, collaboration, and passion of all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to preserve and celebrate this important artistic legacy for our community. Thank you also to 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐒 for catering their amazing spread of charcuterie. It was incredibly delicious! 😋
🎂 May 19 also marked the 156th birthday of Pompeo Coppini, celebrated with a special birthday reception during the event.
