New Mexico Allies for Advocacy, Inc. is hosting Speaking Our Truth: A Collective Voice for All Disabilities on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 4–5 p.m.

Disability advocates are invited to share their experiences, discuss issues affecting the disability community and connect with members of New Mexico’s congressional delegation.

📍 Ruidoso: Community Center, 501 Sudderth Drive, Ruidoso, NM

Parents who are behind on child support may have their New Mexico hunting or fishing license delayed or denied. (Español abajo)

Under the state’s Parental Responsibility Act, past-due child support can affect certain licenses.

To avoid delays, check your child support status and make payments. Once payments are up to date, a $25 fee is required to restore the license.

Los padres con pagos atrasados de manutención infantil podrían tener retrasos o dificultades para obtener una licencia de caza o pesca en Nuevo México.

HCA is working to make sure New Mexicans have clear information about changes to Medicaid.

Recently, Health Care Authority staff joined the Zuni community for a Medicaid outreach event that brought together about 70 to 80 community members. Our team shared information about HR1 Medicaid changes, answered questions and helped community members better understand what the changes may mean for them.

Thank you to the Zuni community and event organizers for welcoming us and helping us connect people with important information and resources. We look forward to continuing this partnership and returning for future outreach events.

Las reglas de SNAP cambiaron el 1 de enero de 2026.
