In today’s edition of "Fact Check Friday," we debunk a false claim made by Sheriff Mike Vance about candidate Tim Huntington’s departure from Concordia University.

Vance stated that Huntington “left Concordia before I put him full time because they forced him to leave because… he was caught doing something he shouldn’t have been doing on campus.”

That claim is categorically false.

Concordia University Provost Tim Preuss, who oversees all full-time and part-time faculty, has firsthand knowledge of the situation. Preuss confirmed that Tim was welcome to remain full-time at Concordia and that he continues to work for the university as an adjunct instructor in Biology. Tim ultimately chose to go into law enforcement full-time.

The record is clear. The claim is false.

An estimated 32 million regular churchgoing Christians and 41 million born-again Christians were projected to sit out a major election—part of 75–85 million self-identified Christian adults who often don’t vote.

When Christians stay home, the field is left open for the candidates who do show up and organize.

Your vote decides who represents you.
Make a plan. Bring someone with you. Don’t leave the outcome to chance.
