Congratulations to Azteca Restaurant ME on officially opening their doors at 1422 Broadway. Owners Jamie and Karina have been running a successful food truck Tacos La Poblanita since 2019 and have brought some of those famous flavors to a brick and mortar here in Cash Corner! Some of their dishes include a wide range of tacos and burritos, yuca fries and tamales, tortas, tres leches, and more! They are currently open every day of the week except Tuesday, so swing by this week and welcome them to the neighborhood!

Join the for a night of community, sports, and food at to cheer on everyone's favorite team ! Due to the nature of the venue, the event is ages 13+! We are excited for South Portland's first official Hearts of Pine watch party and hopeful for many more.

Today our department had the opportunity to attend the MEREDA Morning Menu focused on understanding statewide drivers and local impacts on Maine's economy. Maine State Economist, Amanda Rector, gave a comprehensive overview of our state's current economic outlook. Other panelists focused on approaches to healthcare, challenges with insurance and rising home costs, and barriers and opportunities in permitting Thank you to MEREDA for organizing this panel, Norway Savings Bank for sponsoring the breakfast series, USM for hosting, and the panelists for their time and insights.

Skills for life had their Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Thursday of last week. The facility is gorgeous and fun, the staff are engaging and excited, and the mission is extremely important! We are so happy to welcome them to the SoPo community
