A blower that hums but won't spin, squeals, or runs hot is telling you something. A weak capacitor or a worn motor bearing is a common cause, and it usually shows up on the coldest night of the week.

Bring the motor or the capacitor to First Electric Motor Shop. We'll test it and match the replacement. Furnace motors and capacitors are in stock.

Winterizing the pool? Don't forget the pump.

When you close the pool, bring us your pump and motor. We'll check it over and fix worn bearings or seals now, so you don't find out on opening day that it won't start.

We repair and replace all major pool and spa pumps, in-house or onsite.

Furnace running but no warm air?

When the furnace kicks on and nothing blows, or the blower hums but won't spin, the problem is often the blower motor, the draft inducer motor, or a worn-out capacitor.

Pull the old motor, or snap a photo of the nameplate, and bring it to First Electric Motor Shop. We'll test it, tell you whether it's the motor or the capacitor, and get you the right replacement.
