Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to dusk. It will be open daily through Labor Day.

Springfield Ranked Among Kentucky’s Safest Cities for 2026

Springfield, Kentucky — The City of Springfield has earned statewide recognition for public safety, landing among the top ten safest cities in Kentucky for 2026, according to a newly released report from SafeWise.

The report points to Springfield’s steady progress in reducing crime, highlighting year-over-year declines in both violent and property offenses. City officials say those improvements reflect a continued focus on community safety and proactive law enforcement efforts.

Data included in the report shows Springfield recorded fewer than one violent crime per 1,000 residents, a key factor in securing its place on this year’s list. The city has now seen crime rates decrease for two consecutive years.

Topping the 2026 rankings is Eddyville, Kentucky, which earned the distinction of safest city in the state. Notably, this marks Eddyville’s first appearance on the SafeWise list.
