Fire Chief Barbara Tripp joined Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera - District 7, Tampa Firefighters Local 754, and the families of District Chief Franz Warner Sr. and Firefighter Isaac Royal, at Tampa City Council to honor their lasting legacy.

On August 4, 1981, 45 years ago, Firefighters Warner and Royal made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at Fire Station 1. Franz Warner Sr. was a husband, father, Army veteran, and former Tampa Police officer. Isaac Royal was a first-year firefighter, Army Reserve member, and proud USF graduate. Both dedicated their lives to serving others.

Two generations of the Warner family, along with members of the Royal family, gathered to remember two men whose service and sacrifice continue to inspire Tampa Fire Rescue.

Their legacy lives on through their families, through those who wear the uniform today, and through a bond that has endured for 45 years. We are grateful to City Council for recognizing their sacrifice and supporting efforts to permanently honor their memory.

🔥 Inspiring the Next Generation! 🚒 had an awesome time welcoming youth from the Vecina Café Empowerment Center as they participated in the second annual Pathway to Success Scholarship Program.

Participants explored the specialized equipment and apparatus at our Tampa International Airport Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Station, visited our Marine Division at Station 17, and experienced hands-on activities at our Training Grounds.

We hope this experience made a lasting impact, introduced you to new possibilities, and encouraged you to continue pursuing your goals. Your futures are bright, and we cannot wait to see how far you go!

Remember your pathway to success begins with opportunity, inspiration, and the courage to dream big!

Every day, answer the call, often during moments that can greatly impact the lives of those involved.

When the crew of Engine 6 arrived at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision, they found one patient seriously injured and another patient heavily entrapped behind the wheel. Twisted metal, broken glass, and leaking vehicle fluids did not stop the critical work ahead. The patients were stabilized, comforted, and reassured as additional crews arrived to assist with advanced life support, treatment, and extrication.

Providing compassionate, professional care to the citizens of the City of Tampa remains at the heart of everything we do. Please remain attentive to roadway conditions, avoid distractions, and .

Strong work by the C-Platoon crews of Engine 6, Rescue 4, Rescue 16, Heavy Rescue 1, District 1 and District 4.
