📸 Artist Opportunity for Kansas Photographers

Filter Photo is accepting submissions for Field Notes from the Middle, a juried exhibition featuring photography and lens-based work about the Midwest.

Five artists will be selected to exhibit 5–7 works at Filter Space in Chicago. One artist will receive a $2,000 Museum Purchase Award, with the selected work joining the Cincinnati Art Museum’s permanent collection. The other selected artists will receive $250 stipends for shipping and production costs.

📅 Apply by September 30 at 11:59 p.m. CT
💵 Submission fee: $35

The Statehouse’s Holiday Ornament Collection is a new statewide contest inviting all 105 counties to create an ornament for the State Holiday Tree.

Show us what makes your county uniquely YOU.

Contest winners will be recognized at the Kansas Association of Counties Conference in December. The collection will then be displayed in the Historic Kansas State Capitol.
