Prep work has begun by New England Building and Bridge Company Inc. on the construction of the cofferdam at the Marina Park boat ramp, which will allow crews to work on the bottom of the pond for the installation of the new ramp. Completion of the project is estimated during Summer 2023.
The boat ramp reconstruction is funded through the Town of South Kingstown Capital Improvement Program, and by Rhode Island's share of authorized and appropriated funds from the federal Sports Fish Recreation Act.

The Parks Division staff isn’t letting a little snow stop them from completing the final stages of grading and re-sodding large portions of the baseball infield at Old Mountain Field. This work is done to maintain a “true” playing surface and ensure the safety of hundreds of players from SK Senior Little League to SKHS Varsity Baseball (go Rebels!) to the NECBL (The Waves!) who compete at OMF from April through November every year. Our Parks personnel have been trained in best practices for maintaining high volume playing surfaces of outdoor athletic fields; and the Town of South Kingstown RI is proud to have some the best municipal athletic facilities in the state thanks to the talent and hard work of the Parks staff.

MARINA PARK BOAT RAMP CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION
We appreciate the public’s cooperation as the long-awaited boat ramp reconstruction project gets underway! The project is funded by the Town Capital Improvement Fund and a Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Federal Fish & Wildlife Grant.
Effective January 27, 2023, the public boat ramp at Marina Park on Salt Pond Road is closed for reconstruction.

Come out to the South Kingstown Flag Football League Combine for ages 7-18 (age as of January 1st, 2021) on Friday, June 18th from 5:30-7:00pm at the St. Dominic Field located directly behind the South Kingstown Recreation Center parking lot. Put your skills to the test in the 40 yard dash, broad jump and some football drills! The event is FREE and pre-registration is not required! Players do not need to sign up for the league in order to participate in the combine. Check out the flyer in the comments for more info. Spring Non-tackle football has arrived in South County. The NK Jaguars Youth Football has teamed with 401 Flex to bring a minimal commitment spring football league to boys & girls in grades K-8th in NK, EG, Gansett, SK, Jamestown, etc. similar to how Flag leagues are run. Open to kids of all levels and skill. Games primarily will be Friday evenings at McGinn Park/DMS. Season will run from ene of April to end of June. Visit 401flex.com for more info and to register. Use code “nkjaguars” when registering. This is separate from Fall tackle program and you do not have to play/have played for the Jags. Open to everyone and allow kids to still play their primary spring sports.

Just wondering on a Saturday, when families r going to play grounds why r the bath rooms locked. This was the case at the little play ground in back of old jr high and the portapotty was pad locked at the old south rd. No one can unlock them?
