Hearing directly from our clients is one of the best reminders of why we do the work: so that communities across DC have consistent access to healthy, nutritious food.

Our client Thomas recently shared, “The food is good and the service is good."

Thank you to every volunteer and donor who helps make moments like this possible and helps us serve neighbors like Thomas!

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers from Cannon Design! 💚

We’re so grateful for the corporate teams that work with us. Every volunteer team helps us provide more nutritious food to our DC community -- and brings plenty of enthusiasm and positivity along the way.

As one organizer put it, these photos “beautifully capture not only the work that was completed, but also the enthusiasm, teamwork, and sense of purpose that were evident.”

At Food For All DC, our goal is simple: to ensure our neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need to live healthy, active lives.

Mary K., one of our clients, shared:

"FFA has been great, and it is meeting my nutritional needs."

Hearing stories like Mary's reminds us that access to healthy food can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors, and partners who help make moments like this possible.

Want stronger, healthier tomato plants? Here's a simple planting trick:

🌱 Remove the bottom leaves and bury most of the stem when planting. Tomatoes will grow new roots along the buried stem, creating a stronger root system that helps the plant thrive.

Have tall, leggy tomato plants? Try planting them horizontally! The buried stem will develop roots, giving your plants a stronger foundation and setting them up for a productive growing season.

We're excited to watch our tomatoes grow in the Food For All DC Garden—and we hope this tip helps yours flourish too!

Food can be a powerful part of better health.

One of our Food For All DC clients, whom we’ll call KN, shared:

"The food is meeting my nutritional needs. I have lost 30 pounds and am more active."

For KN, access to nutritious food has supported positive changes in health and daily life. Stories like this remind us why food access matters, and how the right food, delivered with care and dignity, can help people thrive.

We’re proud to be part of KN’s journey and grateful to everyone who makes this work possible.

Did you know that 1 out of every 3 bites of food we eat depends on animal pollinators like bees, butterflies, moths, birds, and bats?

At Food for All DC, pollinators play an important role in helping our community garden thrive. As our tomatoes, cucumbers, and other flowering vegetables grow, we're adding more flowers to create a welcoming habitat for the pollinators that help these plants produce food.

Last year, our incredible volunteer Gama completed his first marathon at the Marine Corps Marathon! 🏃‍♂️🎉

We’re so proud to celebrate this amazing achievement and the dedication, perseverance, and determination it takes to reach such a milestone.

Congratulations, Gama, on an incredible accomplishment, and thank you for bringing that same spirit of commitment to our FFA community! 💚
