Ludlow-Taylor is a District of Columbia Public School (DCPS) that serves a multicultural student body from across Washington, DC. Our ECE students took the Circulator downtown to explore the National Mall on Thursday! Ms. Morrison’s class learned all about plants at the Botanical Gardens, while other PK 3 and PK 4 classes went to various Smithsonian museums.
Ms. Henderson and some lucky 5th graders took a walk on H Street for sweet mocha moments at our local Starbucks. Be sure to tag us when collecting on your various auction experiences!

Happy National Principal’s Day to Principal Miller! Our PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee presented Principal Miller with a token of appreciation to mark the occasion.
We had Coffee & Donuts with Principal Miller, enrollment with Ms. Thompson, auction tickets, and glitter tattoos all before 9am. We took care of business this morning, L-T!

A near total eclipse at LT! Eclipse energy was high at school today as many students gathered on the playground in eclipse glasses to sneak a peek at the sun. Science is so cool!

L-T’s choir and keyboard orchestra performed at The Kennedy Center this week under direction of Mr. Levy. Among the highlights from the DCPS Performing Arts Festival, the choir performed “No Comment,” an original composition by L-T 5th grader Ava! Congratulations to all who performed!

L-T’s keyboard orchestra and choir performed at The Kennedy Center today! Under the guidance of Mr. Levy, these students showcased tremendous talent at the DCPS Performing Arts Festival!
Look at our students supporting their classmates! The final performance of Annie Kids was for the most discerning audience—a school assembly of the cast’s peers. During Tomorrow (and several other songs during the play!), the audience clapped and sang along! 💕 Ms. Blackstone and Ms. M brought a new tradition to L-T that we hope to see for years to come. It was hard work, and it has the school community bursting with pride! So many other teachers played important roles. Thank you to everyone involved—including Ms. Hannah for choreography, Mr. Levy for sound, Mr. Cooper, Ms. Monet, Mr. JP & Coach Lawson for helping backstage, Ms. Godfrey & Ms. Atchison for the intermission fashion show, Ms. Isaacs for her media savvy & so much more.
