The Undersecretary of the Department of War for Research and Engineering recently recognized China Lake as the “most advanced Government laboratory and test enterprise in the world.”

I’ve fought to bring critical investments home and this recognition is proof that those investments are paying off.

A Pentagon-wide review of the nation’s defense laboratories has singled out Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake as the most advanced facility of its kind in the federal government.

I had the honor of recognizing Dale Edward Yarian, U.S. Navy (Ret.) for his service to our nation and to meet his wonderful family. Dale enlisted in the U.S Navy on September 5, 1952 followed by four years in the Naval Reserves (1956-60). After completing boot camp at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, he was assigned to the USS Staten Island, an Arctic icebreaker based out of Boston.

During his military service, Dale completed two Arctic deployments aboard the USS Staten Island, supporting polar expeditions and helping ensure safe passage for research and supply vessels operating in the region.

Following his military service, Dale worked for ARCO for 30 years. After retiring, he continued serving his community as the custodian at Laurelglen Bible Church, where he worked for an additional 31 years.

Thank you Dale for your service on behalf of a grateful community.

I led Dalilah’s Law to ban CDLs for those in our country illegally after a five-year-old girl from Bakersfield was nearly killed by an illegal immigrant truck driver.

Today, the Trump Administration is delivering on that promise. Safer roads. Stronger workforce. American veterans behind the wheel. 🇺🇸

Today, on Korean War Veterans Day, we honor the brave Americans who answered the call to defend our nation during the Korean War.

We remember those who didn’t return, honor the veterans who served with distinction, and express our deepest gratitude to the families of the fallen.

Proud to have secured $1.1 million for Cerro Coso CC and helped them earn approval for a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity Technology.

Building the workforce to defend our communities starts right here at home.
