Had a wonderful tour of Clayton’s new state of the art facility in Conway and learning about the cutting edge technology driving the future of manufactured housing.

It was especially meaningful to hear how my 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act will help manufacturers like Clayton Conway grow and innovate to deliver quality, affordable homes for families right here in Arkansas and in communities across the country.

Special thanks to Jamar Murchison for the outstanding tour, and to the entire Clayton Conway team for the warm welcome and for the important work you do every day.

Before heading home for District Work Period last month, I had the chance to take my interns on a special, rainy day visit to the Speaker’s Balcony, overlooking the the iconic National Mall.

Not a bad way to wrap up an internship.

Enjoyed talking with Toby Howell on KARN Newsradio about my Main Street Capital Access Act, which passed the House last week with bipartisan support. This bill builds on my 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act that became law a few weeks ago, and will make it easier for our local banks to lend to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and families here in Arkansas and in communities across America.

I enjoyed joining “How Washington Still Works” to talk about one of the decisions I’m most proud of from the past year.

Take a listen.

Congressman Hill was recognized for the second consecutive week for his bipartisan leadership on housing policy, receiving the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Terwilliger Bipartisanship in Housing Award from the center’s executive vice president Dennis Shea and senior director Mike Kelley.

The award honors lawmakers who work across party lines to advance solutions that expand access to safe, affordable housing for Americans.

There is no place like home.

As District Work Period begins, I look forward to spending time back in central Arkansas, meeting with families, farmers, small business owners, local leaders, and communities across the Second District, while enjoying everything our Natural State has to offer.

These extended work periods at home are a wonderful chance for my team and me to talk with even more central Arkansans and make sure their voices are being heard back in Washington.

It was a productive week here in Washington before heading back home for the district work period.

The House passed my bipartisan Main Street Capital Access Act, which will help free up our local community banks to better serve Arkansas's entrepreneurs, businesses owners, and farmers.

I was also pleased to join Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Dan Meuser as we released our Committee staff report, "Fighting Back: A Policy Framework for Combating the Rise of Financial Fraud & Scams."

Financial fraud is one of the fastest-growing threats facing Americans, costing consumers and financial institutions billions of dollars each year.

As Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, protecting Americans from financial fraud remains one of my highest priorities. This report is another important step as we work to combat fraud.

It was wonderful talking with Sawyer about his historic achievement as the first Arkansan ever elected President of American Legion Boys Nation and presenting him with three Congressional challenge coins. Also gave him a nice deck of cards that will come in handy for all his upcoming travel.

Sawyer’s leadership, character, and commitment to service above self make Arkansas proud. He has a bright future ahead, and Im looking forward to seeing all he accomplishes.

Congrats, Sawyer!
