The House Intelligence Committee unanimously voted to release our bipartisan 9/11 report in Shanksville today.

A year in the making, the report examines what we got right following that horrific day, where we still have work to do, and offers recommendations to help ensure nothing like it ever happens again.

Standing on the solemn grounds of the Flight 93 National Memorial, alongside family members of the heroes of Flight 93, was a fitting way for us to come together to release this important report.

When Republicans voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts last year, we included $50 billion for the Rural Health Transformation Program, a historic investment in rural health care nationwide.

Arkansas was awarded $209 million for FY26, and yesterday, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the first round of that funding: $149.3 million for projects across the state, including more than 40 that will directly benefit Arkansas’s Second Congressional District.

A few highlights:

✅Conway Regional Health System: Launching a Maternal Mobile Health Unit serving Faulkner, Conway, Perry, Pope, Johnson, Yell, Van Buren, and Cleburne counties.
✅White County Medical Center: Expanding breast cancer screening and imaging, replacing critical roof infrastructure at Unity Health Newport, and growing chronic care services in White and Jackson counties.
✅ARcare: Upgrading remote patient monitoring and telehealth micro-clinics serving Faulkner and White counties.
✅Wolfe Street Foundation: Installing telehealth kiosks and expanding peer recovery services across Pulaski, Saline, Faulkner, Van Buren, and Searcy counties.
✅Doula Alliance of Arkansas: Placing certified doulas in partner clinics statewide to support rural mothers from pregnancy through six months postpartum.
✅Arkansas Children’s: Building a statewide remote monitoring and virtual care network for rural children with chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes.
✅Arkansas Ambulance Association: Replacing ambulances and adding telehealth and patient-monitoring equipment statewide through its EMS-Connect initiative.

This funding is the latest example of how the Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering for hardworking Arkansans.

America is in a space race, and this time the competition is real. That's the message from NASA, and that's why I worked alongside Representative Stephen Meeks to bring officials from America's space agency to Arkansas to talk about what's at stake and how Arkansas can help America win the race.

NASA's Joel Graham gave a joint committee of Arkansas legislators an overview of the Artemis program and the plans to return astronauts to the Moon and push deeper into space. He also talked about how critical this moment is as America works to stay ahead of China and pointed to Congress's nearly $10 billion investment in NASA as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts as a key part of that effort.

Kelvin Manning who is Deputy Associate Administrator for the Human Spaceflight Mission Directorate emphasized the need for government, industry, and universities to work together, since NASA relies on suppliers from across the country, including right here in Arkansas.

With our state's growing industrial base and growing role as America's "Arsenal of Democracy," our strong universities, and our investments in STEM education, Arkansas has a big role to play in America's space race against China.

Now that the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is law, the next step is making sure it works for our communities. That means getting out, answering questions, and hearing from local leaders about which parts of the law matter most, so I can take that feedback to Washington as the rules of the road are written.

That is why it was great to meet with the Searcy Chamber this week, where the conversation was as good as the BBQ.

Looking forward to more stops like this across the district in the weeks and months ahead. Just hoping the food keeps pace!

It’s National Park Week, a great reminder to get outside and enjoy all our Natural State has to offer.

Earlier this month, I joined Saline County Judge Matt Brumley for a side-by-side ride down the newly opened 2.5-mile Saline County section of the Southwest Trail.

This project has been years in the making. It was great to see the latest progress and learn more about how the trail will be maintained. Even better was running into Arkansans already out walking, biking, and enjoying it.

It’s wonderful to see the hard work of so many come to fruition as this long-awaited project becomes a reality, mile by mile, giving Arkansas families another great way to get outside and enjoy our Natural State.

Had a productive conversation with central Arkansas veterans at my Veterans Advisory Council today in Searcy.

We talked about what is working at the VA, where there is still room for improvement, and the concerns they and their fellow veterans are facing.

The meeting also gave me the opportunity to update them on several veterans bills we are working on in Washington, and for my veterans team and me to answer questions.

It was especially good to see my friend and Gold Star spouse, Sharri L Briley, and talk about the bill bearing her name, which I championed through the House as an original cosponsor to help surviving spouses, catastrophically disabled veterans, and their families.

Thanks to Little Rock City Manager Delphone Hubbard, Housing Director Kevin Howard, and the city’s planning team for meeting with me this week to discuss the details of my 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

Local governments and planners are on the front lines of addressing our housing needs, and I look forward to working with them over the next several months as we implement the law to make sure it helps increase housing accessibility and affordability for families in Arkansas and across America.
