Provides education and support for the strategic support of the Workers' Compensation industry in MD.
The Maryland Workers' Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) is dedicated to promoting education, communication and collegiality by bringing together the Maryland Workers' Compensation community to provide a forum for employees, employers, insurers, program administrators, medical and rehabilitation providers and attorneys. Our goal is to provide education and support for the strategic conti
nuation and betterment of the Workers' Compensation system to the benefit of all participants. To accomplish this Mission, the MWCEA will:
Foster communication and coordination of efforts among all participants by working together with the
MWCEA Board;
Hold an annual educational conference; and
Carry out such other activities as will stimulate and foster education regarding the Maryland Workers' Compensation Act and its benefits. At the discretion of the MWCEA Board of Directors, support may be directed to appropriate organizations for educational and/or charitable purposes.

On Wednesday, October 4, from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., The Honorable Steven B. Gould, Justice, Supreme Court of Maryland, 7th Appellate Judicial Circuit, will participate in our panel discussion, RECENT CASES and provide insight on handling Appellate matters before the Supreme Court of Maryland and the Appellate Court of Maryland. The recent workers' compensation rulings from the Appellate Court of Maryland and Supreme Court of Maryland will be discussed along with practice pointers for handling appellate matters.
