Sean Fry 1984 - 2009. Love you Son
Our Great Hero Akiree’ M Pointer, Engineman Fireman Recruit, left the USS John C. Stennin and sailed through heaven’s gates on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Akiree’ was born May 1, 1995, to Lonneka Taiwo. One thing that should bring us all comfort is that Akiree’ accepted Christ at an early age. He had his own special relationship with God. Akiree’ was an extremely loyal person who cared deeply about people and was deliberate in his expression of love for his family and friends. He was an awesome big brother, an amazing friend and very dependable. Akiree’ was a huge sport fan, and proudly supported all Texas teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Lo’s Jewel Foundation honors and thank you Engineman Fireman Recruit Akiree’ M. Pointer, you made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America and our freedom. Happy Birthday Hero! 26 today!💜 #exceptional #Hero #navy #LJFI
Kelsey has always given her time and energy to help others. From a little girl her dream was to be a doctor or nurse. She had plans to use the Navy to achieve that goal. I can still remember the day she left for boot camp. Never did it cross my mind that it would be the last time I would see my daughter. We grieve for her daily. Kelsey has made us and her country so proud. She will live on in our hearts and memories forever. (Sail on sailor to claimer seas. We will see you again).

Thank you so much for doing this ceremony this morning! We are so excited to be joining in!❤️
On this National POW/MIA Remembrance Day let’s pause and remember their sacrifices. The Veterans Council produced a very moving tribute to four FL former POWs. Prisoners of War: Stolen Freedom "Prisoners of War: Stolen Freedom” compares the stories of four American servicemen through their time as prisoners of war in three major 20th century conflicts; World War II, Korea and the Vietnam war. Their stories are supported by archival motion pictures and photographs obtained at the US National Archives as well as through sketches and memorabilia collected by each of the men. Their stories are less about atrocity than they are about the survival of the human spirit and the camaraderie that helped each man survive years of incarceration. Each story is followed by spectacular recounts of their days of release. Produced by Michael Rothfeld, Bill Dudley and the Veterans Council of St. Johns County, directed by Eric Flagg"
