The Navy Gold Star Family Initiative is a CNIC Fleet and Family Readiness program that honors the sacrifices of those Service Members who have lost their lives while serving on active duty, ensuring their parents, spouses and children remain part of the Navy family. CNIC Fleet and Family Readiness Programs . This page is intended to provide updated information and discussion on the Navy Gold Star Program. While this is an
open forum, it's also a family friendly one, so please keep your comments and posts

The USS Midway Museum and the Navy Gold Star Program would like to invite you to The Gold Star Family Holiday Overnight Excursion. This special event is free to Gold Star Families and their guests aged 4 years and up, and includes dinner, evening snacks, and a hot breakfast. Every child MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. Only the 1st 150 RSVPs will be accepted. You must RSVP no later than 11/9/26.
Post registration emails will be sent with event logistics and reminders as the event date gets closer.
Event Overview:
The event will take place on Thursday, 10 December, with check-in beginning at 5:00 PM and the event starting at 6:00 PM. Please be advised that USS Midway Staff will not permit late arrivals onboard, check in ends promptly at 6 PM. Allow extra travel time due to traffic. The event will conclude on Friday 11th of December, at 9:30 AM. The event will be held aboard the USS Midway Museum, located at 910 N Harbor Dr., San Diego, CA 92101. For more information about the USS Midway, please visit USS Midway Museum Website. You will enter the USS Midway Parking lot from Harbor Drive this can be “hard to see” so please keep that in mind. Parking is typically $20 for overnight parking per vehicle. You will need to pay at the kiosk at the entry to the USS Midway and it may/may not be staffed and this process takes time, especially when busy for this event. Please ensure you arrive early and allow time for travel to San Diego during high traffic times of the day. Please plan accordingly.
