The Cedar Valley Hospitality House is a non-profit organization that provides day-time shelter, support, and encouragement to the homeless and those in need.

Hospitality House Mission -- Our mission is to uphold the dignity and value of every human person by providing shelter, basic amenities, and social service advocacy to those who are homeless or marginalized. The Cedar Valley Hospitality House opened in December 2009. Hospitality House is dedicated to providing meaningful and quality services to persons regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, ability, marital status, socio-economic status, and religion. We celebrate diversity and strive to meet each individual’s culturally specific needs.

A huge shout out to the family of Bob Fahr for the delicious lunch today for our guests.
Salisbury steak, potatoes and gravy, pasta, baked beans...what a feast.

May his family find comfort in their memories and may Bob rest in the arms of the angels. He was such a driving force in the Cedar Valley and will be missed.

We appreciate being a huge part of our Village of Support ❤️

We are fine at Hospitality House.
Lots of activity in the neighborhood.
The duplex directly behind us sustained considerable fire damage right after lunch today.
Everyone got out.

The day at Hospitality House was very trying today....

Started the morning with a guest having a major meltdown outside...yelling and screaming at the heavens and imaginary people.
Progressed to going in bathroom and locking herself in there.
Episode continued and paramedics responded.
She denied wanting to hurt herself or anyone else.
De-escalated.
Another guest came to get some food items...hurt her leg and can't dumpster dive for food. We filled up a huge bag for her...
Five showers and clean clothes for some.
Several generous donations dropped off...
Outdoor food pantry filled up...
Blanket box full and ready for those needing warm blankets...
A good hot meal served at lunch...
Thanks to everyone who touches our lives daily as a part of our Village of Support ❤️.
You are so appreciated.
We couldn't do this without you!
