Hardee Help Center is hiring a Homeless Services Coordinator.

This role will work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them take meaningful steps toward stability through action plans, resource connections, compassionate accountability, and encouragement.

We are looking for someone with a heart for serving people in crisis and a desire to support the Christian mission of the Help Center. Experience in ministry, military service, law enforcement, case management, social services, or other helping professions is especially helpful.

Hours are flexible, and salary is based on experience.

To apply, please send a resume and statement of interest to Lori Friers at [email protected].

Applications are open until June 21.

At the beginning of the year, we chose Romans 12:10 as our verse for 2026, and it continues to be such a beautiful reminder for the work before us.

This verse reminds us that love is not only something we say, but something we practice in the way we welcome people, listen with patience, protect dignity, and care for our neighbors as people deeply loved by God.

We are grateful for a community that continues to live this out with us through prayer, giving, volunteering, and showing up for our neighbors in need.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
Romans 12:10 NIV

Vacation Bible School is such a sweet part of summer in our community, and we would love to help local churches spread the word!

If your church is hosting VBS this summer, drop the details in the comments so local families can see what is available.

You can include:
⛪️ Church name
📅 Dates and times
👩‍👦 Age groups
🌐 Registration link or contact info
✅️ Anything special families should know

We are thankful for the churches in Hardee County who pour into children, teach God’s Word, and create spaces where families can connect with the hope of Christ.

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14

Today we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and mindful of the tremendous sacrifice made by so many families throughout our nation’s history.

As we spend time with loved ones this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to remember those who never made it home.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
Psalm 33:12
