Pheasants Forever received check for $10,546.93 to help transition the 422-acre Jim Wooley Family Tract to the public. The check was presented by GMCCF Board Member Jim Liechty, (center left) and received by (left to right) Madison County Conservation Director & Covered Bridge Chapter PF Board Member Steve Pearson, former PF Regional Director who project is named after Jim Wooley, Covered Bridge Chapter PF board member Leo Koster, and PF Regional Director Eric Sytsma.

American Legion Post 184 received a $1,821.43 check to help touch-up the Freedom Rock adjacent to the John Wayne Birthplace & Museum. Iowa Quilt Museum received a $5,903.00 check to make gift shop improvements and enhance telecommunication infrastructure. The check was presented by GMCCF Board President Heather Riley (left) and accepted by Retail Manager Cherita Snyder (right).

A huge thank-you to the Greater Madison County Community Foundation and Heather Riley .r.riley for visiting today to present our grant check to Cherita Snyder, our gift shop manager.
This funding will allow us to upgrade our gift shop POS system and install new internet service from local business BTWI. Improvements will directly benefit visitors and operations.
