🚒 Mutual Aid to Central Islip Fire Department 🚒
Yesterday at 430pm, the Yaphank Fire Department proudly answered a mutual aid request from the Central Islip Fire Department for a large-scale commercial structure fire.
Yaphank Engine 9 along with Chief 31 responded to the scene and operated for several hours under brutal heat and challenging conditions. Our engine crew supplied water commack tower ladder 2-11-1 for the entire duration. Our members worked alongside more than 200 firefighters from over 42 fire departments who came together in a tremendous display of mutual aid, dedication, and teamwork.
We would like to thank the Central Islip Fire Department for their leadership during this incident and extend our appreciation to every department and firefighter who responded to assist.
