JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION PEOPLE

AusAlert is a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices
It will be ready to use in October 2026, but before it launches, the system is being tested across Australia.

At 11.00am on Saturday, 20 June, compatible mobile devices in Port Lincoln may receive a test alert.

The alert will vibrate and play a loud, siren-like sound that lasts about 10 seconds. If this may disrupt you or cause concern for you or someone you care for, you can turn off your device or switch it to aeroplane mode before the test time and leave it off for at least one hour.

This is only a test – no action is required. In a real emergency, follow the alert instructions to keep yourself and others safe.

MOSAICS MOSAICS MOSAICS
Please come join our mosaic/art and craft program on Friday's 12pm to 2pm. Starting tomorrow Friday 5th.
A $10 subscription fee will need to be paid to cover costs please. This is a one time payment that will see you through until the end of the program/year.
All are welcome to join.
Tea, Coffee and snacks are provided every Friday.
Join us in not just making art but making friendships and memories too 💜☺️

The freezer is totally full again
In May we provided 527 meals to our community
Those that haven’t got cooking facilities are welcomed to heat their meal at community house
We cooked ….
*chic ham Alfredo (soooo good)
*pork and veggies
*lamb chops and veggies
*lasagna
*meat stew and veggies
*chicken snittys and veggies
Only $3 each can’t beat it
Anyone with a medical condition, homeless, living rough, lost a partner, older people who may be isolated, financial hardship, disability, families struggling with cost of living, just struggling to cook a daily healthy meal - come and let us cook for you

If you or someone you know is looking for purpose while doing something meaningful within our community, please come see us at Community House and talk to Kylie about becoming a volunteer in either Op Shop, Kitchen, Mens Shed or Garden.

This is community house Annual fundraiser.
While trying to support community by providing cheap kindling for $9 and bags of pallet timber cut up in fireplace size for $5

Every piece of mosaic tells a story.
A broken plate from my mum long gone from our lives, a treasured cup, trinkets collected from a special holiday with my husband, or an old basin and pitcher passed to you by a good friend….
They all hold a memory too precious to throw away. Instead of hiding these treasures away in a cupboard, mosaic gives them a new life.
Piece by piece, we create something beautiful that can be displayed forever—a lasting reminder of the people, places, and moments in our lives.
What may look like broken pieces to some become treasured memories carefully woven together into a work of art. A mosaic is more than just a picture - it’s a collection of stories, memories, and treasures preserved for generations to come.
Here is my beautiful finished mosaic made from the pieces I simply couldn’t let go of. ❤️

Digital Literacy Classes every Monday from 9am to 12pm 💻☕
These classes are so much more than learning how to use technology. Over time, this group has become a wonderful friendship circle where people connect, share stories, discuss many topics, and often help each other find solutions along the way.
It’s a place for social connection while learning new skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

A huge thank you to Louise, our tutor, who does a marvellous job bringing so many people together each week.
One of the loveliest sounds at Community House every Monday morning is hearing the happy chitter chatter coming from the room 😊
A fee of $10 covers from July to December 🌼
