Day 2 at Puppetry Art Camp - Adding details to their humanette puppet heads, working on their owl wings, painting their little theatre backgrounds, drawing features to be added to their little puppet theatres and creating their little puppet thestres! Lots of fun, free play, snacks, and singing add joy to the day!

Day 1 of our children's Puppetry Art Camp! Finger puppets, the start of some amazing humanette puppet heads and owl masks and wings filled our first day together. Thanks to Julia Tribe for sharing her skills with us.

What a lovely gathering of folks at our Market yesterday. As we celebrated the creative makers, it was great to see people try their hand at potting, painting, stone carving and more. We got to welcome Krissy Dow, as a new vendor. Plus my favourite August gift arrived!

Last Tuesday evening, we hosted a Summer BBQ at the Simpson St. Community Garden. The weather was beautiful, lots of fresh produce was given out and the barbecue was hopping. We fed around 240 people! Thanks to Norwest Community Health Centres for their ongoing support. Thanks to the woman who brought us some of her homemade relish.

Today's Market is all about CELEBRATING ARTISTS & CREATIVE MAKERS! How lucky we are in NWOntario to have so many people creating and sharing their passions with others. To all those who see the world a little differently,with light, colour, shapes and feelings, we are saluting you today. Artists, artisans and makers will be demonstrating their craft today.

So excited to invite the neighbourhood to our Summer BBQ at the Simpson St Community Garden.

Free Community BBQ! Join us and at the Simpson Street Community Garden on August 11th from 3pm-6pm. We're serving up smokies, hot dogs, a vegetarian option, cold drinks and dessert. Everyone is welcome - bring your appetite and a friend!
