Sri Lanka Export Development Board Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB Sri Lanka) is the Government Body for Export Promotion It is headed by H.E. the President of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board, usually known as EDB, is Sri Lanka’s apex organization for the promotion and development of exports and was established in 1979 under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act No. 40. EDB is the executive arm of the Export Development Council of Ministers, which is the policy-making body of the EDB. Vision

🇱🇰 Strengthening Sri Lanka’s Export & Investment Potential

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) leadership met with Hon. Hanif Yusoof, Governor of the Western Province, to discuss strategies to strengthen exports, attract quality investments, develop Sri Lanka as a regional logistics hub, and promote Sri Lanka Expo 2027.

The collaboration will help showcase Sri Lanka’s export capabilities, investment opportunities and strategic advantages to the global business community.

Lead Implementing Agencies have convened to strengthen coordination and accelerate the implementation of the National Export Development Plan (NEDP) 2026–2030.

The Plan focuses on enhancing export competitiveness, diversifying products and markets, improving trade facilitation and logistics, strengthening access to finance and investment, and promoting innovation, skills and sustainable export growth.

With a national target of approximately US$36 billion in exports by 2030, coordinated action will be key to translating the NEDP into tangible outcomes.
