This week, we’re celebrating our Language and Cross-Culture Facilitators—the unsung heroes helping Trainees and Volunteers navigate language, culture, and community life. Their guidance builds confidence, strengthens integration, and helps Volunteers communicate meaningfully in Malagasy wherever they serve.

Yesterday was “Site Announcement,” one of the biggest milestones of pre-service training – the moment our new Trainees learned where they’ll live and work for the next two years. Excitement filled the air as they discovered their future communities.

Meet Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Paul!
During his service in the Alaotra-Mangoro region, Paul founded "Nourish Madagascar" and has continued supporting the organization ever since.
In 2026, Nourish Madagascar provided nutritious school meals to 2,000+ children daily, with strong community participation.

Exciting news! Peace Corps Volunteer Diane working in our community has had her Peace Corps Partnership Program project approved!
Together with local leaders, health workers, and construction experts, she is supporting efforts to create an open, weather- resistant educational facility designed to provide relief from extreme heat and withstand seasonal cyclones.
This new space will serve as a central hub for health learning and community engagement, offering a safe environment for sensitization sessions, disease‑prevention initiatives, and wellness activities. The project emphasizes collaboration and local ownership, with community leaders, health workers, and construction teams contributing their expertise throughout planning, implementation, and long‑term maintenance.

Meet Taylor, our Peace Corps Volunteer Leader!
After 27 months serving as an Education Volunteer in the Betsileo region, Taylor extended her service for 13 more months to support Peace Corps staff and Volunteers. For the next 10 weeks of pre-service training, she’ll share her experience, offer guidance, and help our Trainees smoothly transition into Volunteer service.
