📸 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Take a look back at some of the highlights from the recently concluded MSME ASCEND: Mentorship, Money, Market – Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-ready MSMEs, held on July 28, 2026 at the Cajidiocan Social Hall in celebration of National MSME Week 2026.

The event gathered local entrepreneurs, MSMEs, coconut farmers, and partner agencies for a day of learning, networking, and business opportunities through insightful discussions on digitalization, business branding, product development, financing, QRPh and GCash merchant onboarding, and livelihood opportunities in the coconut industry. The activity also highlighted a techno-demo on coconut-based products, product showcases, and business matching, providing participants with valuable learning and networking opportunities.

DTI Romblon extends its sincere appreciation to the Provincial Government of Romblon, Municipal Government of Cajidiocan, PCA Romblon, TESDA Provincial Training Center, DSWD, NetBank, Autohide Corporation, GCash, and all participating MSMEs and stakeholders for making the activity a success.

Moving forward, DTI Romblon will continue to implement initiatives that enhance entrepreneurial capabilities, strengthen market linkages, and create greater opportunities for the growth and sustainability of local enterprises.

ODIONGAN, Romblon – The DTI Romblon served as a resource institution during the Capacity Building on Organizational Development and Enterprise Management for the Romblon Community-Based Forest Management–People’s Organization (CBFM-PO) Federation, organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) MIMAROPA through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Romblon, on July 30, 2026, at Harbour Chateau, Poctoy, Odiongan, Romblon.

As one of the partner agencies, DTI Romblon conducted a session on Community Enterprise Development and Basic Marketing for People’s Organizations, equipping CBFM-PO members with practical knowledge on enterprise development, product value-adding, and market-oriented strategies to help transform community resources into sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The activity underscores the commitment of DENR MIMAROPA and DTI Romblon to empower Community-Based Forest Management People’s Organizations through enterprise development and sustainable livelihood initiatives.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In celebration of National MSME Week 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Romblon conducted a business development activity carrying the theme "MSME ASCEND: Mentorship, Money, Market – Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-ready MSMEs," on July 28, 2026, at the Cajidiocan Social Hall.

‎The program was led by Mr. Rocky Lee F. Moscoso, Business Development Division Head and Trade-Industry Development Specialist of DTI-Romblon, bringing together local entrepreneurs, MSMEs, coconut farmers, and partner agencies for a day of learning and business opportunities.

‎Featured topics included Digitalization: Online Marketing by Mr. Jude Pavillar, Negosyo Center Provincial Coordinator and Trade-Industry Development Specialist of DTI-Romblon, The Coconut Industry in the Philippines and Opportunities for Coconut Farmers by Engr. Oscar Manlolo of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Romblon, Business Branding and Product Development by Mr. Clinton Solidum, Business Counselor of the Negosyo Center–Provincial Government of Romblon and Trade-Industry Development Analyst of DTI-Romblon, as well as discussions on QRPh Merchant Onboarding and Financing (NetBank), GCash Merchant Onboarding, and SBCorp Financing.

‎The activity also featured a Techno-demo on coconut-based products conducted by Mr. Joseph R. Coching, Administrator of the TESDA Provincial Training Center Romblon, together with side events such as Negosyo Center Business Counseling, OTOP Product Showcase, Sibuyan Product Showcase, Business Matching, NetBank Desk, and GCash Desk.

‎Municipal Mayor Atty. Marvin Ramos delivered his message during the program, reaffirming the Municipal Government of Cajidiocan's continued support for initiatives that strengthen local enterprises, promote entrepreneurship, and create greater opportunities for MSMEs to expand and achieve sustainable growth.

Corcuera, Romblon – Pormal na inilunsad ng DTI MIMAROPA ang ika-68 Negosyo Center sa rehiyon sa bayan ng Corcuera, Romblon noong Hulyo 22, 2026. Pinangunahan nina DTI Romblon Provincial Director Orville F. Mallorca, Mayor Elmer Fruelda, at Vice Mayor Aubrey Fondevilla ang seremonya ng pagbubukas ng Negosyo Center.

Ang pagbubukas ng Negosyo Center ay alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 10644 o Go Negosyo Act, na naglalayong gawing mas madali ang pagnenegosyo at mailapit ang mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa mga micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Sa Romblon, 13 sa 17 munisipalidad ang mayroon nang Negosyo Center, na nagpapatibay sa suporta ng DTI sa pagpapaunlad ng lokal na ekonomiya.

Ayon kay DTI MIMAROPA Regional Director Amormio "Joey" CJS Benter, magsisilbing sentro ang Negosyo Center ng mga programang makatutulong sa mga negosyante ng Corcuera.

Binigyang-diin naman ni Provincial Director Orville F. Mallorca na ang Negosyo Center ay maglalapit ng mga programa at serbisyong tutugon sa pangangailangan ng mga MSMEs at mga nagnanais magsimula ng negosyo.

Nagpahayag din ng suporta si Mayor Elmer Fruelda, na nagsabing ang Negosyo Center ay magbibigay ng mas maraming oportunidad sa mga mamamayan upang mapaunlad ang kanilang kabuhayan at maitaguyod ang mga produktong lokal ng Corcuera.

Samantala, sinabi ni Vice Mayor Aubrey Fondevilla na ang pagtutulungan ng DTI, lokal na pamahalaan, at komunidad ay magiging susi sa paglikha ng mas maraming negosyo at hanapbuhay sa bayan.

Sa pamamagitan ng Negosyo Center, maaaring makakuha ang mga MSMEs ng business advisory, entrepreneurship training, business registration assistance, product development, market linkage, at iba pang serbisyong magpapataas ng kanilang kakayahang makipagkumpitensya, na inaasahang magbibigay ng mas maraming oportunidad sa negosyo, trabaho, at pag-unlad ng komunidad.
