Central Issue Facility (CIF)
The CIF ISM provides a standardized Army-wide, automated, user-friendly system for the receipt, storage, issue, exchange, and return of authorized Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) at Army installations. CIF ISM also automates the business practices involved in the requisition, issue, turn-in and accounting for organizational clothing and individ
ual equipment (OCIE). Supports peacetime operations and deployment/redeployment of soldiers during both military operations and operations other than war. In-Processing and Out-Processing (INPROC/OUTPROC)
INPROC provides ADP support for in-processing soldiers into their gaining installations (i.e., welcoming and bringing individual soldiers and their family members “on board”) and providing information on their deployment eligibility to the gaining unit commanders. OUTPROC provides ADP support for out-processing soldiers who are departing an installation to separate from active duty, transferring to another duty station, or reporting for temporary duty of 90 or more days at a different location. This module is also oriented to provide direct support to Installations for the in-processing and out-processing of soldiers. Personnel Locator (PERSLOC)
PERSLOC is designed to aid in locating military and civilian personnel assigned to a particular installation including the mail forwarding services for military personnel currently assigned to those that have been transferred from that installation. Drawing key information from the other ISM or local databases, this module assists mail clerks, postal employees, telephone locator services, or other key installation personnel in locating soldiers. It is used extensively by mail clerks and postal employees to print address labels for forwarding mail to soldiers who have departed the Installation. PERSLOC also automates information for military/civilian personnel and units. Transition Processing (TRANSPROC)
TRANSPROC provides an automated, integrated method of data collection and document processing to support the functional processes at Army installations transitioning soldiers from active-duty status to retirement, discharge, or release from active duty. It automates many of the administrative tasks associated with transition processing. This module also assists the personnel offices and transition centers of an installation transition Soldiers from active duty. It produces the DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty for Soldiers being released from active duty or entering civilian status as the result of retirement or discharge. It interfaces with the Defense Finance and Accounting System to stop active duty pay and start Reserve Component or Retiree pay. Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS)
RFMSS provides a standard, integrated system to efficiently assist installation commanders in providing training support for units and schools to manage valuable training lands and ranges at Army, Navy and Marine Corps installations in CONUS and OCONUS. RFMSS supports all major range management processes: including firing range, air space, and training area scheduling; unit and range control approval process; automation of range firing desk operations; and resolution of safety and environmental conflicts. RFMSS allows units to reserve range and training area assets as much as three years in advance. Fire Desk Operator(s) (FDO) personnel can manage the status of events on the various ranges, TAs and airspaces as they progress throughout the day, perform incident reporting, create new Same Day Requests and approve/disapprove those submitted by authorized users. The Range Control Scheduler is the direct interface between the Range facility management and operations center and the customer, or using units. Unit/Customer Scheduler is the user of the range facilities. The Unit/Customer Scheduler is responsible for submitting training requests and resolving scheduling conflicts as they arise.
