📣Grant opportunity for Arcadia Small Businesses!

The City is offering limited-time grants to help new businesses open as well as support existing businesses with expansion or beautification improvements. New Arcadia businesses may qualify for up to $15,000 through the New Business Assistance Program.

Funds can be used for:
• Physical improvements to the business (interior or exterior)
• New exterior signage
• New outdoor seating and dining areas (food and beverage business only)
• Permit and application fees
• Other projects that help attract new customers

Funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars, all funds must be spent by December 2026. Applications are open while funding lasts. Guidelines and application materials are available at https://www.arcadiaca.gov/SmallBusiness.

The NWS Los Angeles is forecasting high temperatures across our area this weekend ☀️🔥

Stay hydrated and cool as high temperatures peak during the day with little relief overnight 💧😓
• Check on your loved ones, especially older adults and neighbors who are homebound or without air conditioning 👵🏽🏠
• Limit outdoor activities to avoid heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and heat cramps 🚫🏃‍♀️
• Never leave children or pets in hot cars — even a few minutes can be dangerous 🚗🐾❌
• If you work outdoors, limit sun exposure, stay hydrated, and take frequent breaks 🛠️🌤️💦
