The Polk County Library is your community resource! We offer a variety of services, materials, and programs for our patrons in our library system. We are currently located in Bolivar, Humansville, Fair Play, and Morrisville. We have books, audiobooks, movies, magazines, board games, puzzles, and wifi hotspots you can borrow or reserve. Stop by to use our study alcoves, computers, laptops, and free

Wifi. We offer scanning, faxing, printing, and copying services at a convenient cost. Ask us about reserving our meeting and conference rooms for a reasonable price. We also offer notary and exam proctoring services; call to make an appointment. Our library also offers homebound delivery, school tours, and interlibrary loan services. Happy McReader cards is BACK this summer! Kids who read and return their books this summer can earn a free Happy Meal from McDonalds! Every book returned earns a punch on a card, and once they have 10 punches, take your card to McDonald's to redeem your free Happy Meal!

We have 13 local Missouri authors coming to the Rayl Family Library to share their books and author journeys! Part of our Author Festival will be 2 writing workshops, put on by attending authors- "Voice of the Setting: Have Your World Tell Your Story For You" presented by Warrener and "Writing Series" presented by Rachel Newhouse.

Also a part of the Author Festival is the Author Panel, featuring 5 authors: Sabrina Blackburry, Paul Cecchini, DJ AuBuchon, James Jones, & Marc Allie. You can submit questions for the Author Panel through our website: https://bit.ly/4xKDWOb

Also at 2:00pm is "War Pigeons: Missouri's Role in WWII Pigeons", a history presentation focusing on Missouri's history of pigeon training for the U.S. Army Signal Pigeon Corps.
