【請好兄弟吃飯，台灣中元普渡端出滿滿誠意!】

🇲🇽墨西哥人過亡靈節，🇯🇵日本人過盂蘭盆節，🇹🇼台灣人則過中元節。不同的節日，都有著相似的心意──準備一桌好吃的，款待逝去的人，也把他們留在我們的記憶裡。

【A Feast for the “Good Brothers”】

Mexico celebrates Day of the Dead, Japan observes Obon, and Taiwan marks the Ghost Festival. Different traditions, a similar gesture: preparing food to honor the departed and keep their memory alive.

At the Keelung Midsummer Ghost Festival, tables are filled with offerings for the “Good Brothers”—a respectful Taiwanese name for wandering spirits.

Observed for more than 170 years, the festival has become more than an annual ritual. It is part of Keelung’s shared memory, connecting the living and the dead across generations.

她強調，台灣在 #半導體、 #微電子 及 #精密製造 領域的關鍵地位，將有助於降低威權國家帶來的風險，提升全球民主國家的安全，也讓民主世界更加重視台灣的未來✨。

At the : 2026 Indo-Pacific Security Dialogue in Taipei in August, former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland called for democracies to strengthen “friendshoring," building non-red supply chains among trusted partners.

Freeland noted that Taiwan’s dominance in semiconductors, microelectronics, and precision manufacturing could help reduce the risks posed by authoritarian states and make democracies around the world more secure, which in turn would give the world’s liberal democracies a greater stake in ’s future.

貘寶寶好可愛(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) Taipei Zoo 臺北市立動物園 馬來貘順利產仔！

來自新加坡動物園的媽媽馬來貘「Putri」日前在台北市立動物園順利產下女生貘寶寶，為台北動物園再添新成員😻！剛出生的貘寶寶頭好壯壯超吸睛，希望小貘寶寶平安健康長大，也期待牠早日亮相，和大家正式見面👀！

下次來台灣旅遊🇹🇼，別忘了把台北動物園排進行程，來看看超可愛的貘寶寶🐾！ 說不定就能親眼見到牠和大家打招呼喔！

A Malayan tapir at the Taipei Zoo named Putri and the female calf it gave birth to on Aug. 17 are both healthy and have been doing well in the week since the calf was born, the zoo said Tuesday.

The little one is growing strong, and we can’t wait for her to meet visitors💕! Visiting ? Come by Taipei Zoo and say hello to this adorable little tapir! 🐾 You might just get to see her in person!

⚠️通勤族注意啦！

🚨Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority - MBTA 橘線停駛今天開始！Oak Grove到Back Bay之間將暫停服務至本月30日！

MBTA建議大家，🚌 Oak Grove ↔ North Station間可以搭乘接駁公車；🚇 North Station ↔ Copley／Back Bay可改搭綠線，或搭乘 MBTA Commuter Rail！

如果近期有搭橘線的行程，記得提前規劃替代路線！

The Orange Line shutdown starts today! Service is suspended between Oak Grove and Back Bay through August 30.

Use shuttle buses between Oak Grove and North Station. Use the Green Line between North Station and Copley/Back Bay.

日前陳明祺次長舉行款宴，代表我國政府歡迎加拿大西北特區省議員湯蕭恩（Shane Thompson）一行人首度來台訪問！

席間陳次長表示，原民議題是台加重要合作領域，雙方近年在 架構下深化經貿、教育與醫療等領域的交流。

此外，加拿大西北特區不僅擁有豐富原民文化，更蘊藏豐沛資源，期盼雙方未來在潔淨能源與關鍵礦物等領域持續拓展合作並深化關係。

團長湯蕭恩議員提到，此行來台除了實地走訪原民部落，深入瞭解台灣原住民族文化之外，也希望推廣西北特區的豐富觀光資源，深化台加兩國連結 🇹🇼 🇨🇦

MOFA welcomes the delegation of Legislative Assembly Members from Canada's Northwest Territories!

MOFA Deputy Minister Chen Ming-chi recently hosted the delegation, led by Assembly Member Shane Thompson, for a welcome luncheon, discussing Taiwan-Canada ties, indigenous affairs, and sustainable development.

In his address, Chen stated that indigenous affairs are an important sector for Taiwan-Canada cooperation, with both sides having strengthened trade, education, and medical exchange under the Indigenous Peoples Economic and Trade Cooperation Arrangement (IPETCA).

He added that the territories enjoy a rich indigenous culture and possess abundant natural resources, and expressed hope for expanded cooperation and strengthened ties in the future on clean energy and critical minerals.

Thompson stated that their visit to an indigenous community had given them an insight into Taiwan's indigenous cultures, and expressed hope of showcasing the Northwest Territories' tourism industry and strengthening bilateral ties 🇹🇼 🇨🇦
