Oliver county is currently in a full burn ban. As you are packing for your upcoming camping trips please plans accordingly for meals.

Propane cook stoves are permitted on the gravel parking area. You must have a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water near the stove.

As we move into August, fire danger conditions can change from day to day. Before heading out on your camping trip, please check the most up-to-date fire danger rating at NDResponse.gov.

Knowing the current fire danger level will help you plan your meals and camping activities. Please note that in Oliver County, campfires are not permitted when the fire danger rating is High or above.

Beautiful Birds Weekend at Cross Ranch State Park!

Friday, July 31 at 7:30 PM – Bird ID Learn & Walk: Meet at the amphitheater to learn bird identification, then enjoy a guided bird ID hike through the park.

Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 AM-Build Your Own Bird House or Feeder: Create a wooden bird house or feeder to take home! Meet at the amphitheater.

Saturday, August 1st at 2:00 PM – Bird Adaptations: Discover how birds are uniquely adapted to survive, then build your own bird. Meet at the amphitheater.

Saturday, August 1st at 4:00 PM – Waterfowl & Duck Stamp Making: Learn about North Dakota's waterfowl, practice identifying ducks, and create your own duck stamp artwork. Meet at the amphitheater.

Bring your curiosity, your family, and your love of the outdoors. We can't wait to see you at Cross Ranch State Park for a weekend celebrating our feathered friends!

Bluegrass Goes PINK event update:

Due to the severe thunderstorm that moved through Washburn last night, tonight's supper and concert have been canceled. The storm caused damage to the Memorial Building, band equipment, and resulted in power outages, making it impossible to safely hold the event.

The Fun Run/Walk is still on!
Join us at 9:00 a.m. at Cross Ranch State Park as planned.
