Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center Empowering people from different cultures to become successful and engaged members of our community.

While the organization serves anyone who requests assistance, our primary focus is to help the new non-English speaking population successfully integrate into the community. One of ChesMRC’s key objectives is to connect this at-risk population to the existing network of public and private service providers. In addition, we support the outreach efforts of these service providers and respond to thei

r requests to intervene in specific cases. Since the inception of its outreach program in November 2012, ChesMRC has provided services to more than 4700 non-English speakers in Talbot and surrounding counties, involving over 8000 separate requests for information and referral. No other organization on the Eastern Shore is addressing this need.
