ChesMRC offers Language Access and Cultural Competence support for agencies and organizations serving our community. We help build capacity for professional interpretation and more effective service for people from different cultures.

Thinking about teaching, education, social work, or any career with kids?

Start now. Volunteer with ChesMRC’s elementary Afterschool Program to build patience and leadership while working with children who speak English, Spanish, or both.

Help with STEM, art, reading, and games. Come once a week or more. Hours count toward Service Learning Hours.

Visit with and secure community resources and services at the Talbot County Community Resource Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24th at Easton Elementary School.

Our community partner, Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. is bringing resources, services, and help together in one place. Attend this FREE Expo to learn about programs, ask questions, and get support for multiple needs in a single visit.

Resources include energy and housing assistance, food, health screenings, dental services, mental health and disability services, transportation, legal services, education and employment, money management, and childcare.

The day also includes a free meal, a live cooking demonstration, activities for children and youth, a bike rodeo, and giveaways.

Need a ride? Limited transportation is available. Call Neighborhood Service Center at 410-822-5015 by Friday, October 9.

Open Enrollment is coming. From November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027, you can sign up for health insurance, renew your plan, or make changes for the year ahead. After this window closes, you may have to wait until next year unless you qualify for a special enrollment period.

You do not have to sort through it alone. ChesMRC is available to assist you. Call the office and make an appointment for your Open Enrollment needs: 1-877-77-AYUDA (1-877-772-9832).
