Fort Collins Trolley The Fort Collins Trolley operates between City Park and Old Town, weekends, May through September

The Fort Collins Municipal Railway Society (FCMRS) works in partnership with the Fort Collins Museum to restore and operate the Fort Collins Trolley, presenting a living history of electric public transportation in Fort Collins. We preserve, display, operate, and interpret streetcar service, and collect artifacts and information of an educational nature and of significance to the City's electric r

ailway. HOURS: Cars 21 and 25 operate from May through the end of September, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from noon to 5:00 pm.

Ding-ding!! The Fort Collins Trolley is partnering with Rocky Mountain High School in their effort to support the CSU Cans Around the Oval program and Larimer County Food Banks.

Their goal this year is to collect 5,000lbs of food, and your support can make a big impact in reaching that number! Anyone who brings a can or box of non-perishable food to the trolley depot on Saturday September 12th or Sunday September 13th will ride for free!

Teamwork makes the dream work—especially when we're feeding our community.

📅Operating Schedule:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
12-5pm (the last trolley departs City Park at 4:30pm)

Standard fares will be charged on Friday and Sunday
• Adults: $2
• Seniors & Children: $1
• Under 3: Free

Fares on Saturday the 4th will be free thanks to our sponsor: Elevations Credit Union!!

Saturday will be first-come-first-served. One member of your party may wait in line while the trolley does a round, however, all members of your party must be present by the time boarding begins or you forfeit your place in line. The trolley arrives/departs approximately every 30 minutes.

Ding-ding!! All aboard the historic Fort Collins Trolley!!

Fort Collins acquired our first electric trolley system in 1907 and it remained our city's reliable public transportation until 1951. By then personally owned automobiles had become popular, our city's limits had expanded, and our trolley cars were in need of costly repairs. It wasn't until 1984, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers restoring Birney Car 21 to its former glory, that we were able to bring heritage trolley rides back to historic Mountain Avenue.

Please join us to celebrate Colorado Railroad Heritage Week on Saturday 6/27 from 12-5pm. Fares will be free this day, however, passengers will be given a nickel to deposit into the fare box as a way to remember that from 1919-1951 the cost to ride the trolley remained an affordable 5¢.

The trolley departs every 30 minutes from the Trolley Depot in City Park in Fort Collins. The last trolley departs City Park at 4:30pm.

Since 2002, the City of Fort Collins - Government Art in Public Places Pedestrian Paver project has worked to incorporate granite pavers with drawings by Fort Collins youth into City sidewalks.

The City selects designs through an open call. Each young artist receives an honorarium for their work. The City then sandblasts the designs into granite pavers and places them throughout Fort Collins during sidewalk improvements.

Here is a paver featuring Birney Car 21 placed in 2016 and drawn by Logan Musci, age 9. It can be found near the intersection of Washington and Mountain Avenues.

What a wonderful day at Live Involved!

We loved connecting with so many curious community members at the Fort Collins Senior Center today. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Fort Collins Trolley booth to learn about volunteering with our organization.
