Mrs. Thompson!

🎉 Please help us welcome back Mrs. Thompson to Garden City Public Schools for the 2026–27 school year! Mrs. Thompson is a former USD 457 teacher who will serve as the Administrator Intern at Alta Brown Elementary School and Abe Hubert Elementary School. She's excited to apply her passion for classroom instruction to a role focused on supporting and helping teachers.

Originally from Lakin, Kansas, Mrs. Thompson brings 19 years of experience teaching middle level math and science. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University, her master’s in Teaching and Learning from Friends University, and an Educational Leadership endorsement from Fort Hays State University.

Outside of work, she enjoys golfing with her husband and friends, spending time with her niece and three nephews, and reading a good book.
