August 7, 2026, Wasatch Fire was dispatched to a working structure fire. It was reported that a residential structure had caught fire and due to the exposed wood frame, the structure quickly became full involved. The significant flames and heat were so great that the surrounding brush also ignited. The brush fire was quickly contained and the fire was knocked down utilizing an aerial master stream. Strong work B shift!

🚨Employment opportunity🚨

August 2, 2026 at approximately 7:28pm. Wasatch Fire Battalion 5, Engine 53, Ambulance 53, Rescue 51 along with
Wasatch County Search and Rescue, Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol, and Intermountain Lifeflight were dispatched to a rollover down Provo Canyon. It was reported a vehicle was involved in an accident and proceeded to fly off Highway 189 and down an embankment near the train tracks towards the river.

Upon arrival, the patient was trapped in the vehicle and extrication was needed. The vehicle was on 3 wheels at the time of arrival. The vehicle was stabilized utilizing struts and the patient was successfully extricated. The patient was transported via Lifeflight to a Trauma Center. This is an active investigation, please avoid the area.

STRUCTURE FIRE

July 24, 2026. Crews were dispatched to a structure fire in Heber City. It is reported that a wood shop in a garage unit has caught fire. The fire did creep into the walls and into the attic space. Thanks to the quick fire attack by crews, the fire was put out.

Wasatch Fire District crews responded quickly to a vehicle fire in Pine Canyon that was fully engulfed upon arrival. Thanks to a fast response, crews were able to contain the fire to the vehicle, preventing it from spreading to the surrounding area.
The vehicle was located in a heavily wooded area — a stark reminder of how quickly fire can spread under current conditions. With dry vegetation, high heat, and low humidity, our wildland fire risk remains elevated.

We know this wasn’t an easy sacrifice during our nation’s historic 250th Independence Day celebration, but your cooperation made a tremendous difference.

Because our community chose to celebrate responsibly, there were no fireworks-related fires or emergency incidents over the holiday weekend. Your commitment to protecting our families, homes, public lands, and first responders helped make this one of the safest Fourth of July weekends in recent memory.
