We want to thank all of you that we have served that lead NCA to this achievement of a 98 percent customer satisfaction rating. The highest ever attained by any public or private sector organization.

A few of our own Punchbowl team members are pictured in NCA's poster below. Can you figure out which ones and who they are?

VA's National Cemetery Administration scored 98 out of 100 on the American Customer Satisfaction Index, the highest ever attained. This marks the eighth consecutive time NCA has ranked first nationwide in the survey. The average government score for 2025 is 70. No other public, private or nonprofit organization in the country has received the consistently high customer satisfaction ratings as NCA over the past decade-plus.

Aloha! Punchbowl is open today conducting interment services and working storm cleanup. We do ask the public to consider waiting to visit until after the storm passes. There are still high winds coming down the Pali and these make for a wind tunnel-like effect in the Punchbowl itself. If you do choose to visit we ask you to be safe and mindful of the team out there working storm cleanup. Mahalo!

Aloha! Punchbowl's own team member Troy was recognized by the Pacific District for discovering a bug in an update on the system we use to track equipment, repairs, and costs associated with the repairs. Troy not only reported the issue but then was able to get in contact with the developers to explain what the issue was and its affects on the users. With Troy's great communication a patch was written that resolved a Nationwide issue. Mahalo Nui Loa, Troy! Keep up the great work!

The National Cemetery Administration's Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, the Honorable Sam Brown, Chief of Staff Courtney Stecker, and the Executive Assistant to the Under Secretary of Memorial Affairs, Melissa Tolai all visited the Punchbowl on 29 & 30 January. Most of Thursday was spent interacting with the Punchbowl Team, touring the cemetery, and jumping in to work side-by-side with the Punchbowl Team doing asphalt road patch repairs along Outer Drive. The visit included recognizing Art Carino, James Amyx, Richard Barroga, and James Takemoto for their hard work and dedication to serving our Nation's Veterans with the work they do here at Punchbowl! Friday included working with the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemeteries and a tour of the Defense POW / MIA Accounting Agency.
