Pd Pol Ad The Chris Morales Campaign; Janice Knight, Treasurer Chris Morales was elected as Judge of County Court at Law No. 1 in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. As Judge, he manages a multitude of cases that impacts the daily life of every citizen in Fort Bend County. Judge Morales oversees cases involving probate & guardianship, juvenile, civil litigation, condemnation, misdemeanor and civil mental health commitments. Most importantly, Judge Morales also oversees our County’s only Misdemeanor Mental Health Court, a program designed to reduce recidivism rates among criminal defendants with mental illness. Since taking office, Judge Morales has been instrumental in implementing new technologies in the courtroom that reduce taxpayer costs and ensure the courts evolve with changing needs. In fact, when the COVID-19 Pandemic closed the courts, Judge Morales’ previous planning and knowledge of virtual conferencing platforms allowed his Court to quickly adopt such technology to conduct remote hearings, reducing the impact on Court operations. Further, Judge Morales has worked hard to introduce multiple continuing education events for lawyers and has worked closely with the Juvenile Probation Department for the youth of our County. Judge Morales is a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County, graduating from B.F. Terry High School in Rosenberg and Texas A&M University in College Station. He is married to his high school sweetheart and fellow Texas A&M graduate, Vanessa Morales. Judge Morales and Vanessa have been members at River Pointe Church in Richmond for over 10 years, and have two children, Madelyn and William. She watched my courtroom from the inside for years. Cynthia Durbin, retired Fort Bend County juvenile probation officer: "He treats every person with fairness, patience, and genuine respect." An endorsement like that means more than any ad. Thank you, Cynthia.

🎉 What a special morning at the Fort Bend County Parade! 🇺🇸

For 90 years, this parade has been an annual tradition bringing our community together, and I’ve been fortunate to experience it year after year, either as a participant in the parade or as a spectator cheering everyone on.

This year I participated by handing out fans to the spectators, and I was able to meet so many wonderful new people along the way. There’s something truly special about being part of a tradition that has brought generations of people together for nine decades.

Thank you to everyone who came out, waved, smiled, and made the day so memorable. I’m grateful to be part of this amazing Fort Bend County tradition! ❤️🎊

Safe streets aren't built on tough talk. They're built case by case, year after year, by a court that gets it right. For more than a decade that's been the job: follow the law, hold offenders accountable, give every person a fair hearing. That's the court Fort Bend has trusted me to run, and the court I'm asking you to keep. What does a safe neighborhood look like to you? 👇

I truly have so much fun visiting with my friends at MORE Possibilities. It is the highlight of my day when I get the chance.

A big thank you to our friend Judge Morales for coming to spend time with us at MORE! 💜 We always look forward to his visits and appreciate that he takes the time to sit, chat, and genuinely get to know our participants.

We’re already looking forward to seeing him again in January, when it will be our turn to visit him for a tour of the courthouse! ⚖️💚 Judge Chris Morales
