Empowering Gram Panchayats Through Mango Cultivation: Dorf Ketal Mango Cup 4.0 and Jungle Cup

Recently in Nagpur, we marked a monumental leap forward with the successful completion of the 'Dorf Ketal Mango Cup 4.0' & 'Forest Cup 4.0' (Miyawaki Plantation & Management Training Program).

With 80 Gram Panchayats in Nagpur district enthusiastically registering for mango and Miyawaki plantation this year, this initiative is rapidly scaling up to cover every village and Zila Parishad across Maharashtra for the greater good of people and the planet!

Rooted in Growth, Growing Together

There is something deeply rewarding about planting a seed and watching it transform into a lifeline.

As part of our commitment to Environmental & Social Responsibility, Dorf Ketal—in proud association with Navdrushti and the Grampanchayats of Awashi, Asagani, Ghanekhunt, and Kotwali—recently concluded a fruitful tree plantation and distribution drive for our local farming communities.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts and requests from these villages, we were able to distribute 2,000 premium-quality saplings—including Kesar Mango, Jackfruit, and Cashew—to 400 deserving farmers.

This initiative isn’t just about putting roots in the ground; it’s about nurturing a sustainable future.

Family-Like Care: These farmers are welcoming these saplings into their lives, promising to care for them like members of their own families.

Economic Empowerment: In the coming years, these trees will provide a steady, sustainable source of income for the households.
Environmental Impact: Together, we are actively increasing local green cover and contributing to vital carbon sequestration.

We are incredibly humbled by the overwhelming response from the community. Seeing the joy this has brought, many more local farmers have already reached out requesting saplings for their own lands.

Education is the foundation of a brighter tomorrow.

We are deeply humbled and honoured to share a significant milestone in our journey toward supporting sustainable educational development. On May 22nd, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Dr Conrad K Sangma ji, officially laid the foundation stone for the new building of the PASF Abong Noga College in Tura, Meghalaya.

This upcoming facility is envisioned to be a vibrant "temple of education," built to accommodate thousands of deserving students, acting as a launching pad for them to build meaningful careers rooted in strong, value-based education.

As part of our commitment to sustainable development through education—a core vision championed by our Founder & Vice Chairman, Shri. Subodh Menon ji—Dorf Ketal CSR has graciously committed a total contribution of Rs. 8 Crores toward this noble cause.

During the ceremony, a cheque of Rs. 5 Crores was presented to the Chairperson of the P. A. Sangma Foundation, Smt. Soradini K. Sangma ji, and other esteemed members of the Foundation. Our Head-CSR, Shri. Santosh Jagdhane, along with Shri. Vijaykumar Chakkoli from the Ira Gurukul Educational Trust, had the privilege of attending the event.

Reflecting on the profound impact of this initiative, Shri. Santosh Jagdhane shared a timeless reminder by Dr. Nelson Mandela during his address to the dignitaries and students: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

With construction already underway in full swing, we are hopeful that this institution will fully blossom within the next year or two. 'Water' in the name, but a parched throat... until now.

Imagine living in a village called Sag-Pani yet having to trek miles every day just for a single pot of it. For generations, the people of Sagpani in Jawahar Taluka, District-Palghar, lived this irony. Their pleas fell on deaf ears, and their struggle was overlooked.

The reality was heart-breaking:

Children unable to take a simple bath.
Students missing school to help find water.
Women spending their entire lives waiting for uncertain water tankers or trekking 5km daily.

But today, the story has changed. When Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Ltd., in association with Navdrushti NGO and the resilient people of Sagpani village, joined hands, a miracle happened.

What happens when a community forgets its differences and unites for Mother Earth? The Dorf Ketal Jungle Cup 2.0 just showed us the answer!
On February 27, 2026, in the vibrant heart of Sangamner, we didn’t just host an award ceremony; we celebrated the birth of 155+ new forests across Maharashtra.

Through the innovative Miyawaki Method, villages are turning single plots of land into dense, biodiverse jungles with over 42 species of native trees in just 2–3 years.

Empowerment Through Education and Hygiene!

We are deeply humbled and overjoyed to share a significant milestone in our journey toward rural empowerment. This week, Dorf Ketal CSR reached two new destinations to support our future leaders.

Hindavi Garjana English Medium School, Avashi (Chiplun) We inaugurated brand-new, hygienic toilet blocks for girls and boys, along with a state-of-the-art Computer Lab. This facility will open doors to digital literacy for 300 bright students near Lote MIDC.

Government Higher Secondary School, Silvassa (UT of DNH) We are proud to launch our 3rd Computer Lab in the region! This center will empower 492 students with high-quality computer education, bridging the digital divide.

Beyond Just Infrastructure: At Dorf Ketal, we believe in sustainable impact. We don't just provide the hardware; we also provide qualified teachers and take full responsibility for the long-term maintenance of these labs to ensure uninterrupted learning.
