Sugar Rotary was so honored to receive this recognition from the Snowdrop Foundation and Bling for Bravery for the donating our extra race medals. The Snowdrop Foundation provides scholarships for college bound pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors while raising awareness and funding for continued research to cure childhood cancer.

Thank you GS Troop 28031 for your support in helping Larry DeSpain with Bling for Bravery, a program developed through the Snowdrop Foundation to celebrate and reward the bravery of the pediatric cancer patients at Texas Children’s Cancer Hospital in Houston, TX. The mission is to distribute finisher’s medals from races from Half Marathons through Ultra Marathons including Triathlons to the children at the hospital to recognize and celebrate their bravery in dealing with cancer.

Larry has been doing Chelsey's 5K for many, many years, often times winning his age group. We appreciate his support year-after-year and look forward to him taking home a prize again this year. Also, if you have a run/race medal to donate to Bling for Bravery you can bring them on June 19!
