Sheldon ISD recently hosted a successful Board Candidate Town Hall meeting at the C.E. King High School Performing Arts Center, providing community members an opportunity to learn more about those seeking to serve the district. Attendees heard directly from all candidates running for positions on the Board of Trustees, as well as unopposed candidate Devora Myles. For those unable to attend in person, a recording of the event is available [https://www.youtube.com/live/sLOnvmmByxQ], and detailed candidate biographical information can be accessed on the district's Board of Trustees Election Page.

Sheldon ISD extends a special thank you to The Lilly Company for partnering with Michael R. Null Middle School as part of Lilly’s 2026 Global Day of Service! This marks the third opportunity for Lilly and Sheldon ISD to partner together, continuing to build meaningful connections between our students, schools, and the growing Sheldon community.

Lilly volunteers worked alongside our students on a campus gardening service project and participated in facilitating engaging STEM classroom activities. Throughout the day, students connected with Lilly team members, asked career questions, explored different pathways in STEM, and learned more about Lilly’s mission and its growing presence in our community.

This experience gave our students an opportunity to serve their school while making real-world connections between what they are learning today and the careers available to them tomorrow. Thank you, Lilly, for continuing to invest your time, talents, and energy in our students and community. We look forward to continuing this partnership as part of the family!
