Dr. Laura Murillo: “The #2020Census demonstrates the growing role and influence of the Hispanic community on our nation and its economy.”

The American population grew much more diverse over the past decade, with large increases among people who identify as Hispanic, Asian and more than one race, the Census Bureau reported.

“We are experiencing and seeing more and more wealth, even among younger [Latinos], where they are purchasing properties and real estate, and they're learning from people who have been or have become successful in their community,” Dr. Laura Murillo said.

Employers 'freaking out' over DACA ruling, immigration attorney says

ICYMI: Employers 'freaking out' over DACA ruling, immigration attorney says

"We can not afford any more unintended consequences as a result of DACA, especially when it comes to our economy. They help our economy," said Dr. Laura Murillo.

As advocacy groups urge Congress to pass the DREAM Act, employers who depend on workers that apply to the program are uneasy over the uncertainty.
