🚨 **TRAFFIC ALERT: L/A BALLOON FESTIVAL PARADE 🚨 **

The L/A Balloon Festival Parade will take place Sat., Aug. 22, from 10 AM to 12 Noon. The parade will begin at Main and Sabattus Streets, continue toward Lincoln Street, turn left onto Lincoln Street, and end at Chestnut Street.

🚨Streets will close to traffic as early as 9:30 AM until the parade ends.
🚨Limited access for local traffic and emergency vehicles.
🚨In Lewiston, Main Street will close from Frye Street to Longley Bridge.
🚨Side streets off Main Street will close as early as 9:30 AM and remain closed until parade ends.
🚨In Auburn, on Court Street from Main Street to Longley Bridge will be closed.

🚨Lincoln Street Garage, 16 Lincoln St.
🚨Chestnut Street Garage, 29 Chestnut St.

Both garages can be accessed from Chestnut Street. Turn right onto Mill Street to reach the Lincoln Street Garage or continue on Chestnut Street to reach the Chestnut Street Garage.

🚨 NEW PARADE ROUTE! 🚨

This year’s parade takes a new path!

The parade will begin in LEWISTON at the corner of Main Street and Sabattus Street. Then, travel down Main Street to Lincoln Street. At Lincoln Street, turn left to continue along Lincoln Street and end at the corner of Lincoln Street and Chestnut Street.

Be sure to check the map before you pick your spot.

PARADE PARKING: Parade goers may park at either the Chestnut Street Garage, 29 Chestnut St., or the Lincoln Street Garage, 16 Lincoln St. To access the Chestnut Street Garage, remain on Chestnut Street. To access the Lincoln Street Garage, turn right from Chestnut Street onto Mill Street.

Parking at both garages is available for a donation. Collecting at the Chestnut Street Garage is the Lewiston High School Girls Softball Team and donations collected at the Lincoln Street Garage will benefit the Edward Little High School Boys Basketball Team.

Drivers are encouraged to arrive early and allow additional travel time.

🚗 OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON LISBON STREET

Lewiston Public Works will repaint parking spaces along Lisbon Street, from Maple Street to Main Street, over two nights:
🔹 Thu., Aug. 20, 12 AM–7 AM: No parking on the left side of Lisbon Street.
🔹 Fri., Aug. 21, 12 AM–7 AM: No parking on the right side of Lisbon Street.

“No Parking” signs will be posted on the affected side each night. Please move vehicles from the posted areas before work begins so crews can complete the painting safely and efficiently.
