Stanislaus Regional Transportation Authority (StanRTA) is the largest transit system in Stanislaus County. It hereby sets forth the following policy and disclaimers for its use of social media. “Social Media” is defined as any web-based platform hosted by a third party that enables users to participate in social networking. StanRTA considers social media to be an invaluable tool to facilitate communication and transparency with the public. StanRTA utilizes social media, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep current and potential riders up to date on Track the S rider alerts, news, events, and promotions. In order to best serve the public, the following code of conduct provides guidelines on how to best interact with StanRTA’s social media pages. StanRTA does not discriminate against any viewpoint but reserves the right to remove comments and block individuals that violate this Code of Conduct. StanRTA considers the following comments unacceptable:
• Vulgar, offensive, defamatory, or harassing language.
• Personal attacks or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups.
• Comments that incite violence or illegal activity.
• Comments that promote, endorse, or oppose a service or product, political party, person campaigning for elected office, or ballot proposition.
