Self care doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, getting rest, and giving yourself the same care you give to everyone else.

Whether it’s reading a book, staying cozy all day, getting enough sleep, or celebrating a small win, these little moments add up.

Take care of you. You deserve it. ❤️

Self care can be simple, intentional, and still make a big impact. It’s the small habits that help you reset, recharge, and show up as your best self.

Drink more water, explore something new, find a podcast that inspires you, or set goals that keep you moving forward.

Little steps matter more than you think. ❤️

Every 40 seconds, someone in the US has a stroke, according to the latest data from the CDC. Strokes have become so common, they are now the leading cause of long term disability. In order to help keep our families safe, we have put together a team to try and help. Susie Payne, Registered Nurse with Piedmont Walton will be on hand to discuss Hypertension, also know as high blood pressure.
Family and Consumer Sciences Agent Jake Conner will be discussing how diet affects blood pressure and what lifestyle interventions folks can make to increase their chances of having a long, healthy life and decreases their chances of negative health outcomes like strokes.

We are so excited that folks will be able to learn about the new blood pressure monitor lending program. Participants can use their library card to borrow the blood pressure monitors for up to 3 days across the Azalea Regional Library System, including here in Monroe!
