Attending car shows is a favorite pastime for several individuals at JICL!

Brandon, Mike, Keith, Rocky, James, Freedy and Gary enjoyed spending time in the community admiring unique and classic vehicles, connecting with fellow car enthusiasts, and taking in the fun atmosphere.

Outings like these encourage social connection, community inclusion, and the opportunity to enjoy shared interests with others.

For 50 years, Journeys In Community Living has been empowering adults with disabilities and older adults to live, work, and socialize as they choose. Now, we're inviting our community to help us celebrate this milestone year at our 10th Annual Partners In The Journey Fundraiser on September 3, 2026.

This special evening will feature dinner, an auction, and live entertainment from local artist Jared Blake, all while raising support for the vital programs and services that help the people we support live with greater independence and dignity. Sponsorship opportunities are now available.

With the assistance of their Physical Therapist, BJ, Rocky, and Gatlin were able to enjoy the full-body, therapeutic, workout they received while swimming at Park Community Center - Murfreesboro.

Congratulations to the Project Search graduates! Project Search is a 1-year internship program for Rutherford County high school students with disabilities hosted in partnership with the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE Murfreesboro.

Thank you, Marcus, JICL’s Job Coach, for working with these interns as they rotated through different unpaid work departments at the hotel, learning competitive and transferable job skills.
