In the early morning hours of June 1, 2012, Kendra Dobyns was discovered by a passerby lying in the roadway in the unit block of Pyles Lane in the Hamilton Park neighborhood of New Castle. She was four months pregnant and died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

ROBSCOTT MANOR BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED

(Newark, DE 19713) On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 1:39 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the unit block of Argyle Road, in the community of Robscott Manor, for a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals engaged in an altercation in the front yard of a residence on Argyle Road. Both individuals were immediately detained while officers conducted an investigation. One of the individuals was identified as 35-year-old Michael Klingenfmith of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

During the investigation, officers determined that earlier in the evening, Klingenfmith had been involved in a disagreement with another known individual at a local bar. Following the dispute, Klingenfmith traveled to Argyle Road to confront the individual at their residence.

After arriving on Argyle Road, Klingenfmith broke a rear window and entered a residence. Once inside, he was confronted by the homeowner and realized he had entered the wrong house. He then fled to the yard of a neighboring residence, where he confronted the individual involved in the earlier dispute. An altercation ensued in the front yard and continued until responding officers arrived.

Klingenfmith was then transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was charged with the following offenses:

• One felony count of Burglary in the Second Degree
• One misdemeanor count of Criminal Mischief over $1,000

Michael Klingenfmith was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $5,500 secured bail.

GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING TOWNSEND WOMAN-MARIE DELOUCHE

(Townsend, DE 19734) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 56-year-old Marie Delouche.

Marie was last seen in the unit block of Main Drive around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Despite extensive efforts, Officers have been unable to locate or contact Marie, and there is concern for her health and safety.

Marie is described as a black female, 5’4”, 150lbs, black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark blue hat, red jacket, yellow pants, and black shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Marie’s whereabouts is urged to contact the New Castle County Police Department at (302) 573-2800 or call 911 immediately.

POLICE ACTIVITY IN THE CASTLEBROOK APARTMENTS AREA(550 S. DuPont Highway, Building I – New Castle, DE)

Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police are currently conducting an active investigation in the area of 550 S. DuPont Highway, Building I, within the Castlebrook Apartments community.

Residents and motorists should expect a significant police presence, road closures, and traffic disruptions in the surrounding area. In addition, bus routes servicing the area may be temporarily diverted, which could impact normal transportation schedules.

The Division’s Crisis Management Group has responded and is on scene.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Updates will be provided when they become available.

DETECTIVES MAKE TWO ARRESTS FOLLOWING DRUG INVESTIGATION

In April 2026, Detectives assigned to the New Castle County Division of Police Drug and Human Trafficking Investigations Team initiated an investigation into 45-year-old William Comer, who was suspected of distributing fentanyl throughout New Castle County. As the investigation continued, Detectives developed information indicating that Comer was residing in Elkton, Maryland. Detectives subsequently coordinated with the Cecil County Drug Task Force to further the investigation, as it extended into out-of-state jurisdictions.

On May 21, 2026, Detectives conducted a traffic stop involving Comer and 45-year-old Richard Harrigan of Wilmington, Delaware, who was also in the vehicle. During the stop, Detectives recovered more than 28 grams of crack co***ne, approximately 2.5 grams of raw fentanyl, and 11 bags containing suspected fentanyl.

William Comer and Richard Harrigan were each charged with the following offenses:

• One felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 3
• One felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2
• One felony count of Conspiracy Second Degree
• One misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Both Harrigan and Comer were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $82,200 cash bail.

ROBBERY INVESTIGATION LEADS TO THREE JUVENILE ARRESTS

(Wilmington, DE 19805) On Monday, May 25, 2026, at approximately 6:28 a.m., officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the 1500 block of Clayton Road in the Cleland Heights community for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the victims, who reported that several suspects approached them and demanded the keys to their vehicle. The victims refused and attempted to leave the area in their vehicle. As they attempted to drive away, one of the suspects physically assaulted one of the victims, while the other suspects removed multiple cell phones from inside the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers assigned to the investigation located the stolen cell phones near a bus stop on Maryland Avenue. Officers responded to the location and contacted three 17-year-old female juveniles, who were taken into custody without incident. The stolen iPhones were recovered from the juveniles at the scene.

All three juveniles were charged with the following offenses:

• Two felony counts of Robbery Second Degree
• One felony count of Conspiracy Second Degree

Following arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11:
• One juvenile was released after posting $11,000 unsecured bail.
• One juvenile was released after posting $2,500 secured bail.
• One juvenile was committed to a juvenile detention center after failing to post $7,000 secured bail.
