We value the opportunity for dialogue that social media provides and while this is an open forum, it is also a family friendly one and we ask that you follow our posting guidelines. New Castle County EMS requires that all posts to this page adhere to established community standards which can be located here https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards/ We reserve the right to report any standards violations to the appropriate media outlet with the intent of that outlet taking appropriate and reasonable responsive action. We use platform-provided content moderation/filtering options to limit foul or obscene content. When possible, agency social media sites will utilize profanity filters so that no comment from the public containing profanity will pass through the spam filter and be posted without prior notice, and as soon as possible. We do not discriminate against any views but will remove any posts of inappropriate material as determined by us in our sole and complete discretion. This material may include, but is not limited to a post that:
• Is slanderous or defamatory
• Contains obscene language or sexual content
• Promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status regarding public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation
• Promotes commercial services or products other than significant sponsors, affiliations, or business partnerships
• Promotes a political candidate
• Promotes illegal activity
• Provides information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
• Contains personal content that does not have the consent of the third party
• Contains content that violates a legal interest of another party
We do not allow posts that are solicitations or advertisements for commercial entities, political organizations, or candidates. We reserve the right to delete comments that are spam or include links to other sites. This policy is in addition to and complements all existing or future policies regarding the use of social media and the interest of the New Castle County Emergency Medical Services.
