🧪💦 Sink or float…that was the question in 4th grade this week!
This week, our 4th grade scientists put their knowledge of density to the test as they investigated which objects were more dense or less dense than water. Before testing each object, students made predictions about whether it would SINK or FLOAT, and there were definitely a few surprises!
The kids were amazed when some of the objects they were SURE would sink ended up floating instead! We love seeing those moments when science gets them thinking, questioning, and wanting to know WHY! 🧠🔬
Next week, we’re trading the water for MAGNETS! 🧲 Will it stick or won’t it? Our scientists will once again make predictions, test their ideas, observe the results, and use evidence to explain what happened.
From sink or float to magnetic or nonmagnetic, our 4th graders are learning that science is all about asking questions, making predictions, and discovering that the results might just surprise you! 🧪🧠
