💛 September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Today, our Wolves proudly wore gold and yellow to show their support for children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Together, we stand with those who are fighting, honor those we have lost, and celebrate the strength and courage of childhood cancer warriors. Go Wolves!

Apple-scented magic in the ALE room today! ✨🍎 We whipped up our own Apple Playdough using conditioner, cornstarch/baking soda, and a few drops of crisp apple essential oil.

Here is why this hands-on play is so powerful:
💪🏻 Fine Motor Skills: kneading, squeezing, and rolling builds hand strength and dexterity for essential daily tasks like writing, buttoning, and using utensils.
🧠 Sensory Integration: the soft texture and calming apple scent engage multiple senses at once, helping students focus and regulate.

What a special day at Wilderness Oak Elementary!

Our League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had the opportunity to learn from eleven Ronald Reagan High School - North East ISD Varsity Football Players who once walked these same hallways as Wilderness Oak students. Accompanied by Coach Preston Meyer, they shared their experiences, offered encouragement, and served as positive role models for our young gentlemen.

We are grateful for their willingness to invest in our students and strengthen the bond between our schools.

Sights, smells, and skill-building! Our ALE class explored autumn through an interactive apple pie sensory bin today!

While oats were sifting and scoops were filling, big learning was happening behind the scenes:
- strengthen fine motor control and hand eye coordination
- stimulating tactile and olfactory sense
- practicing sorting, counting, and turn taking

Today was the first day of our Lobo Leaders!
Our Lobo Leaders spent time in our ALE classroom reading books, playing games, and building new friendships. It was wonderful to see these students serving as positive role models while bringing smiles and joy to others.
